
State Representative Daryl Deshotels recently announced that he has secured over $13 million in critical investments for District 28 to improve roads, infrastructure, and community services. Additionally, Rep. Deshotels authored legislation to promote more responsible spending of tax dollars and foster a more business-friendly environment across Louisiana.
The funding has been divvied up in the following way:
- Roads & Infrastructure – $11,423,835
- State Road (LA 107): $8,508,000
- Parish Roads: $2,676,935
- Roadway improvements – $1.3 million
- Ruby/Centerpoint Rd. – $200,000
- Business Loop Rd. – $336,925
- Riche Rd. – $622,010
- Beauregard Lemoine Rd. – $218,000
- Village of Hessmer Roads (improvements to Smith, Josephine, Gremillion, and Aymond Streets): $238,900
- Other Projects – $1,624,397
- Avoyelles Port Commission (Liquid Fertilizer Tank Terminal Expansion): $750,000
- Evergreen Water System Improvements: $71,397
- Village of Moreauville (Sidewalk Rehabilitation): $78,000
- Village of Plaucheville (New Fire Station Construction): $500,000
- Bordelonville Volunteer Fire Department (Emergency Operations Center): $225,000
