AVOYELLES PARISH — An assistant district attorney in Avoyelles Parish was arrested earlier this month on a first-offense DWI charge, according to parish booking records.

Andrea Aymond, 47, of Effie, was taken into custody on Nov. 12 and booked on charges of driving while intoxicated and careless operation of a vehicle.

Public records list Aymond as serving in Division B of the Avoyelles Parish District Attorney’s Office, handling criminal and juvenile matters.

No bond information was immediately available.
