The Avoyelles Community & Youth Coalition has announced the release of their newly-produced short film, “Was It Worth the Shot?” The film is a powerful message written and directed by their student ambassadors aimed at preventing underage drinking and encouraging young people to pause, think, and choose wisely.
This film challenges the idea of “just one shot” by showing how a single decision can carry lifelong consequences. Prevention starts with honest conversations, strong community support, and clear messaging that empowers our youth to protect their future.
The Coalition thanks Avoyelles Public Charter School, Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office, Avoyelles Hospitals, Acadian Ambulance, Wright Studios LLC, parents, educators, partners, and supporters, all of whose continued support and involvement make impactful projects like this possible. Together, they are creating awareness, saving lives, and shaping a healthier future for the next generation.
