The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced a temporary lane closure on the Louisiana Highway 1 bridge over the KCS Railroad and Dr. T Doos Road in Avoyelles Parish.

 

Project details are as follows:

 

Date: Monday, May 4

Time: 8am to 3:30pm (weather permitting)

Location: Louisiana Highway 1, located approximately 0.14 miles north of Louisiana Highway 1186.

 

The bridge will be reduced to one lane to allow crews to conduct a routine bridge inspection. No detour will be needed for this project, as one lane will remain open at all times. Motorists should still anticipate minor delays in the area.

 

Sheriff David L. Dauzat and DOTD remind all motorists to drive with caution around the site. Be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
