The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office is actively assisting the Evergreen Police Department with the investigation into a series of residential burglaries that occurred within the Village of Evergreen.

The reported burglaries occurred during two separate timeframes:

-Between the night of Friday, June 26, 2026, and the time they were reported on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
-Between the night of Tuesday, June 30, 2026, and the time they were reported on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Sheriff David L. Dauzat has committed the resources of the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office to assist the Evergreen Police Department in identifying those responsible. Detectives with our Criminal Investigation Unit are working alongside the Evergreen Police Department by providing investigative assistance, personnel, and additional resources to help bring this case to a successful resolution.

“The safety and security of our citizens remain our highest priority. Criminal activity affecting any community within Avoyelles Parish is a concern to all of us. We are committed to working hand-in-hand with the Evergreen Police Department by providing every resource available to identify those responsible, hold them accountable, and help prevent future crimes,” stated Sheriff Dauzat. “If anyone has information, no matter how small it may seem, I encourage you to come forward. Your information could make the difference in solving these cases.”
