The Village of Moreauville is pleased to announce that construction mobilization for Phase 1 of the village’s wastewater treatment plant rehabilitation project is scheduled to begin August 24. The anticipated completion date is December 25.
During this time, residents will notice an increase in construction traffic, including large trucks traveling through Moreauville and on Porter Lane as equipment and materials are being delivered to the project site. The village appreciates the public’s patience and understanding while this important work is underway.
For many many years, the wastewater treatment plant has been in extremely poor condition. Despite these challenges, Norris Lemoine and his dedicated crew have worked hard to keep the system operating as efficiently as possible. The village sincerely thanks them for their commitment and hard work.
A very special “thank you” to Governor Jeff Landry, Commissioner Taylor Barras, Representative Daryl Deshotel, Senator Heather Cloud, Pan American Engineers Thomas David and Jacob Gauthier, Attorney Derrick Johnson for their unwavering support and commitment to the Village of Moreauville. These partnerships and dedication have been instrumental in making this long-awaited project a reality.
On behalf of the Mayor and Town Council, the village wholeheartedly appreciates all of these partners, as well as everyone who played a role in securing this funding and bringing this project to fruition. Together, a stronger, safer, and more prosperous future for the Village of Moreauville is possible.
