The Red Cross is hosting two upcoming disaster training opportunities in Mansura.

This Saturday, Oct. 24, 8am to 4pm, the training session will be Disaster Action Team (DAT) Training at the LSU AgCenter. Participants will discover how DAT volunteers respond to local emergencies like home fires, providing emotional support, financial assistance, and guidance to help families recover.

The next bootcamp will be Saturday, Nov. 7, 8am to 4pm, at the LSU AgCenter. This camp will be focused on Sheltering Training. Participants will learn how to set up and operate a Red Cross shelter, support families during disasters, and help create a safe, welcoming environment.
