The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced upcoming construction activity in Avoyelles Parish that will affect LA 1181 and LA 1182, which began Monday, July 7.

The timeline for this project involves daily lane closures on LA 1181 and LA 1182 that will last through October of this year. LA 1182 will be closed daily to through traffic from 7am to 5pm for cross drain replacements. This portion will reopen each evening and is expected to continue through August 2025.

Detour information for this project is as follows.

• Eastbound Traffic: Detour west on LA 1182 ➡ north on LA 1181 ➡ to eastern LA 1182
• Westbound Traffic: Detour south on LA 1181 ➡ east on LA 1182 ➡ to M.P. Cutoff Road

DOTD reminds drivers to use caution, obey posted signs, and remain alert for workers and equipment in the construction zone.
