Families preparing for the upcoming school year will have an opportunity to receive school supplies, enjoy refreshments, and hear from motivational speakers during the Back to School Bash on Monday, July 27, 12-3pm, at the Cochon de Lait Center in Mansura.

The event is being presented by the Avoyelles Sleeves Up Decisions Define Us Program in partnership with Shakin’ Em Up Entertainment. School supplies will be distributed, and snacks will be provided for attendees. Families will also have a chance to win a $100 gift card.

The event will feature motivational speakers, and organizers note that admission is free for parents who bring students. Attendees are reminded that no drop-offs will be allowed; students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
